Sharon Alexander produces handmade wool felt goods from her studio in Vancouver. An array of luxury natural fibres, including sheep, alpaca, llama and silk are at the foundation of her work.
Alexander studied photography at OCADU, graduating in 1991. Her portraits of animals and people have been published internationally. The chance gift of an alpaca fleece while living on Vancouver Island altered her course completely, deepening her fascination with wool and immersing her into the world of sheep farmers, mills, fibre artists and the endlessly fascinating history of textiles. Her felt studio was established in 2020.
