Shelagh Hope Alexander
Shelagh Alexander was an acclaimed Canadian visual artist who led a brief but extraordinary life, flaming through it all like a comet. Her photographic collages are held in permanent collections with the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, Hamilton Art Gallery and the Canada Council Art Bank and have been shown internationally at the Venice Biennale, São Paulo Art Biennial and points across Canada, the US, and Europe, including London's Institute for Contemporary Art. She leaves her loving family to celebrate the many remarkable memories of this extremely funny, sharply observant and cerebral woman.
Walk the Goddess walk, my beautiful sister.
